Eastern Alloy, Inc. has established its reputation as a manufacturer and direct supplier of ruggedly constructed metal canisters for protection of turbomachinery rotors and other critical parts. Through our innovative engineering and design we are able to offer our clients worldwide a large number of features incorporated into our canisters.     Clients can store our canisters either horizontally or vertically because the rotors are securely anchored within. Each canister is fitted with internal clamp cradles lined with urethane and rubber; and radial supports and axial locks prevent rotor movement. Canisters are custom designed to accommodate the size, shape and weight for any component configuration. Special designs are available to accommodate individual turbine or compressor impellers. Eastern Alloy canisters have provisions for nitrogen purge, vents and drains for protection against corrosion and pitting when stored for extended periods of time. A 0.625in. (15.88mm) diameter "O" ring insures a tight seal to prevent nitrogen leakage. Canisters are ruggedly constructed to withstand rough handling during shipping. The frames are fabricated from structural steel, and the shells are 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) thick. We also offer accessory items including on-board nitrogen systems, view port and impact indicators. External and internal canister surfaces are coated with a corrosion-resistant polyurethane and epoxy unless a special coating is requested.
